About Us
Oriental Bank of Commerce was established in February 1943 in Lahore, which is now in Pakistan. Just 4 years after its incorporation, the bank had to face partition. OBC bank was established by Late Lala Karam Chand Thapar.
New Delhi serves as the Headquarter of Oriental Bank of Commerce. After a long struggle and multiple panels for debate and discussions, OBC was nationalized (1980). Presently, OBC is India’s 7th largest bank and operates in four segments: treasury operations, corporate/wholesale banking, retail banking and other banking business operations. OBC provides rural finance to the villagers for Village Development.
