Established in 1968, NTC was formed as a result of a joint venture of the Government of India and Ministry of Textiles which recommended a government company for the production of fabric and yarn. After 47 years of marketing, producing and re-branding, NTC has become a highly profitable organisation with 750 Million Dollars in market capitalization and over 117 association production mills. Apart from producing, National Textile Corporation also helps in marketing and branding to areas where the need is more.
