Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) Limited is among the Largest Coalesced Engineering Complex in India manufacturing capital goods for core sector industries. It was established in December, 1958 during the second five year plan. HEC is one of the ambitious Industrial Projects for Infrastructure development of the nation. It has a complete manufacturing set up all at one site in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Steel one of the most important factors that play a key role in the infrastructure development of any country. So, production of steel was given priority and HEC was given the task of manufacturing equipment and machinery for the steel industry.
